ADI推出支援5G O-RAN生態系統之完整無線電平台

台北2021年3月26日 /美通社/ — Analog Devices, Inc.(Nasdaq: ADI)今日推出一款基於ASIC 之無線電平台,該平台針對符合O-RAN規範的5G無線電設備而設計,旨在縮短上市時間,並滿足5G網路不斷發展的需求。O-RAN生態系統使用開放標準來分解傳統網路,支援跨營運商網路之更高彈性和更多功能。

ADI的無線電平台包含O-RAN相容5G無線電設備所需的所有核心功能,包括基頻ASIC、軟體定義收發器、訊號處理和電源。此款先進的無線電平台目的在於提升性能和外型尺寸,以因應下一代網路將面臨的功耗和成本挑戰,同時縮短客戶設計週期。 

ADI無線通訊事業部副總裁Joe Barry表示:「O-RAN採用開放標準重新構思網路結構,希望以此突破傳統市場,而這需要全面創新的射頻解決方案。ADI的創新O-RAN解決方案為5G應用提供性能優化的無線電平台,標示著生態系統再向前邁出一大步。」 

O-RAN將逐步排除進入障礙,為目前和新興的無線供應商提供新的契機。ADI直接與生態系統參與者相互合作,以優化總體系統效率並確保互通性,進一步提升產業技術水準。 

Vodafone Group O-RAN 射頻及數位平台開發經理Andy Dunkin表示:「將low-PHY 基頻ASIC推進市場是邁向O-RAN的一大步。現在,OEM廠商擁有一條明確的途徑來針對大型和小型基地台構建具競爭力的系統,而這是有助於建立健全生態系統的倡議。」

ADI 平台有助於無線電設計人員和製造商針對大型和小型基地台解決方案優化總體系統性能。憑藉參考設計,設計人員採用以下各項產品方案即可創建符合O-RAN規範的無線電設備:

  • ADI的下一代收發器具有先進數位前端訊號處理(DFE),支援GaN PA的數位預失真、波峰因數降低(CFR),以及通道數位上變頻器和通道數位下變頻器等功能元件。
  • low-PHY基頻ASIC,可針對LTE、5G和NB-IoT提供符合7.2x要求的解決方案,包含IEEE1588高精度時間同步協定和eCPRI介面。
  • 完整的時脈和電源鏈解決方案。 

Parallel Wireless 執行長Steve Papa表示:「為排除O-RAN生態系統的進入障礙,ADI持續努力為眾多無線供應商提供全新級別的支援,我們為此深受鼓舞。此款解決方案將加速Option 7.2功能劃分的標準化,簡化互通性整合。」
